Official Contest Rules
- World's Best Cat Litter™ Cats Across the Country contest is open to any adult US resident who owns one or more cats. Employees of World's Best Cat Litter™, affiliates and strategic partners, contest administrator, and their immediate families are not eligible.
- This offer is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All applicable taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of prize winners. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. By participating in this contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decision of the judges, warrants that he/she is eligible to participate in this Contest and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor from any loss, damage or expense arising out of or in connection with participation in this contest or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
- By submitting photos to the contest, you verify that you are the copyright holder for each photo submitted and have the legal authority to assign reprint rights to World's Best Cat Litter™ for the purpose of this contest and future uses including possible use in advertising or packaging. By entering, you agree to allow World's Best Cat Litter™ to display your name and submitted photos on websites including www.worldsbestcatlitter.com and www.catsacrossthecountry.com for the purpose of: a) displaying the submissions to and/or results of this contest, b) promoting this or future photo contests, c) use in advertising or packaging.
- One cat and its eligible owner residing in each of the 50 U.S. states will be randomly chosen as a World's Best Cat Litter™ state representative winner. Out of those winners, five regional Grand Prize winners will be randomly selected. Regions of the US include: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and West. View the regional map.
- The eligible owners of the winning cats will be contacted via the email address they provided in their initial entry. The decisions on all matters relating to this sweepstakes by the Contest Administration Panel are final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries/photos received. If the prize winning notification email is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. In the event of any dispute concerning the prize, it will be awarded to the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.
- Contest begins at 9:00am on Monday, May 9th and ends 11:59pm on Friday, May 27th. Winners will be announced in groups divided by regional geography and on a weekly basis starting Tuesday, May 31st. For example, winners for each of the 11 states in the Northeast region, including the one regional Grand Prize winner, will be announced together May 31st, all 12 of the Southeast states' winners on June 6th and so forth.
- By accepting the prize, winners agree to release World's Best Cat Litter™, its directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, its advertising and promotion partners, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize related activities.
- World's Best Cat Litter™ reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of this promotion should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, unforeseen errors, issues and emergencies or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or Contest Administrator corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the contest. In such an event, Sponsor may award prizes in a drawing from eligible entries received prior to cancellation or suspension.
